Stroll the ocean beaches and forest paths and
Retrace the early steps of picnic day-trippers and moonlight dancers and follow the scenic promenade towards the historic Old Dorm. The six-minute stroll from the ferry terminal to the two-storey, barn-red lodge may be one of the West Coast's most charming, scenic, little walkways. Ducks and geese splash in the quiet lagoon while gently rippling waves lap against the beach. A view of the sea and Coast Mountains stretches to the mainland. The 52-square-kilometre Bowen Island and its moderate climate offer year-round activities. Recreation, relaxation and entertainment are minutes away.
Whatever the season, Bowen Island's varied activities are sure to please guests of all tastes. The Island is also home to much wildlife. Guests may view bald eagles soaring overhead, herons fishing quietly in tidal pools, or perhaps deer nibbling on wild grasses. Come and enjoy the carefree spirit and charm that has long drawn visitors to the "Happy Isle".
